Happy Halloween!

Halloween was indeed a lot more fun this year. I wouldn't say Raegan is really at the age where she LOOOOOVES it, but she was pretty excited about the candy and seeing her grandparents. Luke and I have made a joint decision that there will be NO FEATHERS in any way, shape or form on her costume next year. It was kind of a pain to put together and more of a pain to keep together, but the end result was pretty fabulous.

The cutest jailbird you will ever meet!

Flying

Oh yeah, wait a minute. I'm sick. I almost forgot.... :)

Granny and Papa think she's the cutest jailbird ever also!

Jazz hands! She almost looks like some kind of cancan dancer in some of the pictures.

Officer Zane. The mustache is about 50% his. lol

Love that boy!

I was so happy, because when we went to my Grandma's house, Zac and Deeanna were there with the kids. Raegan was pretty happy to see Baby Ryan. Look at that thoughtful old soul! :)

Trick or Treating at Rick's house. Raegan wasn't scared at all of the graveyard he has set up in his front yard. (The noises on the porch were a little more scary to her though.)

Happy Halloween everybody!

Pumpkin Carving

I've been realizing all weekend long just how much more of a "big kid" Raegan is compared to last year. She was actually able to do some of the activities at Fall Fest yesterday. She totally knows what candy is and is all over it. She can participate in pumpkin carving. Man, I cannot WAIT until Christmas! :)

All that being said, Raegan just was not feelin' the pumpkin carving this year. She wasn't feeling very good today, so that may have been some of it. Although she does have her moments of being a prissy girl, so that might have been it too.

There was no way she was going to touch anything that came out of the pumpkin!

I'll look, but that's about it!

Putting Daddy in his place with a look!

Ooooooh!

I don't remember what I said here to get such a big smile out of her

Finished product

Kind of blurry, but you get the full effect. In case you were wondering, it's the symbol from the Halo video games. It's going to be so weird when Zane's out of the house and we have to do non-superhero/video game/boyboyboy pumpkins! :)

Fall Fest

Raegan and I went over to Fall Fest at our local college on Saturday. We always get there a little early while the costume contest is going on, so that we can enjoy the activities before the millions of children descend upon the gym. Every game station gives you candy and Raegan kept asking and asking and asking to have some. When I finally gave her some Smarties towards the end, you would have thought I offered her the world the way she just lit up. Trick or treating should be interesting this year, because last year she really had no idea what candy was.

The Beanbag Toss is really so much easier if you just walk right up to it. #truefax

I tried to get a pretty fall picture of Raegan when we left, because the campus at KWU is just beautiful. I got some pretty silly faces before I got one that I liked. Well, I like them all actually!

Halloween pics!

Here's all of the pictures I took Halloween evening. In case you can't tell, Zane in Neo (from The Matrix). He's never seen all of the movie, but I'm pretty sure he that's what he wanted to be so that he could wear a trenchcoat. He's obsessed with trenchcoats now for whatever reason. :)

Checking out Grandma Jones' dogs
I just like this one because it's a little blurry around the bottom
Cousins Bailey and Jacy were there the same time we were!
Raegan wasn't really sure what was going on with so many people in the house trying to take pictures
Emo Zane is very emo with this costume :)
I like this one, with Zane's snurled lip

Oh, the cuteness just slays me!
Also love this one!
Singing in the car on the way to Rick's house
We go see Luke's friend Rick every year. They always go all out for Halloween, and this year was no exception!
Raegan wasn't too sure what to think of some of the decorations
Waiting at the door for Zane and Daddy to get back
Do you see that mouth hanging open and those wild eyes? It's almost bedtime....
Eeeep! Tough guy!
And bedtime!

A little preview

I'll get around to posting all of the pictures from actual trick-or-treating at some point, but I want to leave you with a couple of my favorites for tonight. Raegan was so excited and proud to walk house to house. I can't wait until next year when she'll be able to walk really well on her own!

KWU Fall Fest

Saturday I took Zane and Raegan to Fall Fest at the local college. I've always wanted to take Zane, but it's always fallen on a weekend that he was at his mom's. Really, if Raegan hadn't been there and he wasn't such an awesome big brother, he would have been too old for it. And Raegan was really too young for it. But I guess if you average out their ages, it was just right? haha

Zane making a bug mask for Raegan. We got there right when it started so we missed the enormous crowd that was there as we were leaving!
Whatcha doing, Bubba?
Raegan was supposed to throw the rat in the bucket, but three guesses whether she did or not? :)
Zane playing Plinko for candy
Carving our pumpkin afterwards
Look at that cute pup begging for some pumpkin innards!
It's Nightwing (from Batman) if you didn't know.
For some reason the flash decided to go off so I got this nice picture even though it was night.
