Fourth of July

Sunday evening we went to Lindsborg to Darin and Kelli's (Luke's brother and his wife) to eat and shoot off fireworks. We were really fortunate to be able to have Zane there this year. Regina was kind enough to let us come get him Sunday evening and return him Monday morning (it was her weekend and her year for Fourth of July). Because of it always being her weekend and the way the 4th has fallen lately, Zane hasn't been there for our gathering for the last four years. It was nice to have the whole family together.

Raegan was a champ and stayed up for the whole fireworks show. She only seemed like she was scared once, after a particularly loud firework, when she firmly told me and Sharron "bye bye!" But the rest of the time she was yelling "Yaaaaay!" and clapping and saying "Pretty! Pretty!"

We got home a little after 11:00, and Raegan didn't even really want me to rock her - she just wanted to go straight to bed. She has never stayed up that late before, but she did so well. (On Monday, she ended up taking a 3 hour and 15 minute nap, and today she didn't wake up until 10:00 after going to bed at her normal time. I think she's caught up now!!!)
