Dress Up Fun

Zane is cleaning out his room, due to the fact that he will be moving to the basement before Baby comes along. Raegan had a blast tonight playing with all his old cars and dressing up in his old costumes. It was so cute to see a miniature Star Wars character!

Pumpkin PaZooLa

Today we went to Pumpkin PaZooLa at Rolling Hills with my mother in law. It was busy, but the beauty of a zoo is it's so spread out you don't really notice the crowds. With the event there were some games and bouncy houses, and Raegan got to pick a free pumpkin to take home with her. It was a gorgeous afternoon too!

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

18 weeks

Right now I'm feeling really good. This was the time frame of pregnancy that I loved last time, 16-26 weeks or so. Looking pregnant (and not just fat) but not so huge and uncomfortable yet. Baby is starting to move a lot more and it's always fun to feel those little flutters. Raegan loves patting my belly and giving the baby a kiss and an eskimo every night before bed and she frequently tells us how much she loves her baby. It just makes my heart burst every time.

Cravings right now are fruit, fruit and more fruit and fried food. I've been starting to do better about eating more vegetables but I've definitely got the fruit thing down. No heartburn yet and I'm really hoping it won't be as bad as last time. I finally bought maternity clothes this week and I feel so much better not stuffed into my regular clothes.

Anatomy scan and gender check is Friday. We're taking Raegan with, which I think will be really exciting for her.

Parade

Both kids got to be in the parade this year - Raegan for her dance studio and Zane for marching band. It was a little cool out but really a nice morning for a parade.

 

 

 

 

 

 

More writing

For someone who was doing no writing in May, Raegan has really taken off with writing. It's really amazing to this Mama. In the first picture she asked me how to spell Mommy and wrote it as I spelled it. Oh, my heart. And the second picture was her writing letters from the front of a library book. Smart, smart girl.

 

 

Progress!

I've been working really hard with Raegan this summer on her starting to write her name. Although her teacher said she would like her to be able to write her full name by end of summer, I wasn't holding Raegan to that expectation. As long as she can write her name fully by kindergarten, I'm happy. That's what's developmentally appropriate anyway.

However, Raegan is doing an amazing job. She really struggles with the "e" still, but so has every child I've ever taught. I can't believe she went from being able to write none of her name to almost all of it in just a few months.

Flower Girl

This weekend Raegan was a flower girl in my friend Christina's wedding. She did a fantastic job! :)
