Writer's Workshop - FINALLY!

I'm finally remembering to do the Writer's Prompt from Mama Kat's! I've been very bad about blogging lately - I have a TON of pictures that I also need to post.

4.) We’re too old to be getting in trouble…aren’t we? Write about a time you were scolded…as an adult.

Hmmmm, the first one that comes to mind (that really irritates me) is from a month or two ago. Raegan and I were at Sam's Club. It must have been the weekend because they had samples. (Off topic, Raegan looooves Sam's Club now. She totally realizes that they give you food there, and she's always super excited as soon as we walk in the door. Hahaha!) I stopped at one booth that had chips and salsa and some kind of dip and I scooped up a sample on a napkin. The woman giving out those samples said, "Now, you won't want to give that to her, because they can be a choking hazard for her" as I was popping the eeny weeniest little bit of chip and salsa into Raegan's mouth. You may say, "Well she was just being nice. Calm down woman!" but if you heard her tone, you would not be saying this to me right now. I said, "Okay!" popped another miniscule bite of chip into Raegan's mouth and kept walking.

I know how to feed my daughter. Thanks. :)

This was actually a really good week for prompts, so if I think of it tomorrow, I may do the one about freaking out during pregnancy. I think I *might* have done that once or twice. Only once or twice. ;)

Gardening

Raegan's favorite thing to do after breakfast every morning is snuggle up with books.

Raegan loves pretending to take a nap. She even pretends to snore. It's hilarious!!

Cheese!

So bananas have been replaced with cheese as Raegan's favorite food. She asks for cheese at every meal. And she gets SUPER! excited when she actually gets cheese.

Friday morning Raegan and I went over to my parents' house for the morning, just to hang out. Raegan had a lot of fun, and I enjoyed visiting with my parents.

Busy, busy

We spent the whole time outside because it was such a nice (not hot) morning. Raegan played with blocks and babies, and my mom showed her how to pick strawberries right off the plant and eat them. (Raegan thought that was the best idea ever!) She ended up taking a 3 hour and 15 minute nap that afternoon, so she must have worn herself out!

Ever since she was little, Raegan has done a fantastic job of entertaining herself. Especially when we're outside - she always finds something to explore when we're in the back yard. I told Luke that if we ever need to put down rock anywhere else, we're putting Raegan to work!

Take this video and tack another 20 minutes on it, and that's about how long she spent playing in the rocks and moving them around. :)

Zoo trip with the kids

We are loooooving our zoo membership. Zane, Raegan and I went on Tuesday, because the weather was just fantastic that morning. The animals must have thought the weather was fantastic too, because a lot of them were out. We got to hear a lion roar as we were walking towards their exhibit, and we saw several animals that are usually sleeping or hidden from view.

There were a bunch of toads in the prarie dog exhibit.

And the prarie dogs were actually out! Usually we don't see any!!

Raegan was excited about the geese and goslings. "Honk, honk!"

When we walked up to look at the wallaroos, this one came hopping over to the fence.

He was really interested in the kids.

He was kind of standing on tiptoe to look at them. It was really cool!!!!
